About My Soap
I make my soap in batches of 100 bars. I use rain water collected from the clouds above the Sangre Christo mountains where I live. I like extra oils in my soap so skin feels moisturized as well as clean. Every one of my recipes starts with a base of mostly olive oil and equal parts coconut and palm oils (sustainable palm oil when attainable). Some recipes are enriched with more pricey oils like hemp, cocoa butter, avocado and sweet almond. I use pure essential oils for scenting except for rose fragrance which is incredibly expensive. Each bar is hand cut and similar but not exactly like the next one. I age my soap several weeks to a year for mildness and hardness.

I illustrate my soap flavors with my watercolor paintings and have the paintings printed for labels. They are based on landscapes of the villages and mountains on the high road to Taos, New Mexico where I live.
